Take-A-Seat Chair Auction

August 15, 2009 marked the first year of the Take-A-Seat Chair Auction in Port Washington, Wisconsin. Reclaimed chairs were painted by area artist to raise money for the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight, a program that provides funding for veterans to visit the WWII memorial in Washington, DC. With my father serving in the Navy in WWII, this fundraiser was near and dear to my heart. Hopefully, the auction will continue in 2010, and thereafter.
